Roles and responsibilities

  • Attend the customers on First Come First Served basis
  • Listen to customer complaints & note down in the Job card
  • Explain the customer time & cost estimate for Labor, Oil, Spares and Outside labor
  • Explain the mechanic customer complaints, jobs to be done, delivery time, cost estimate
  • Inform the customer in case of delay / cost exceeds
  • Take Road trial of the vehicle to confirm elimination of complaints
  • Ensure vehicle is delivered neat & clean
  • Explain the customer work done on the vehicle and actual cost details/future jobs any
  • Return the replaced parts (except warranty parts) in original packing to Customers
  • Explain about next service due date and paste next service due sticker
  • Ensure proper housekeeping in entire service shop
  • Ensure all tools and equipment’s are in working condition and maintenance of equipment’s
  • Ensure mechanics carry out mandatory jobs in all vehicles
  • Checking the parts replacement and warranty replacement authorization wherever required
  • Co-ordination with parts shops for getting parts from other branches/ dealers
  • Preparation of workshop daily report
  • SAP job card entry
  • DMS job card entry and Improvements
  • Monitoring of Vehicle inflow - Product wise and Service wise against the plan (Free / Coupon paid / Post warranty)
  • Tools & Equipment’s availability Vs. requirement, purchase
  • Review of repeat jobs & Quality Feedback from customers
  • Tracking of Pending/Accident vehicles - reasons for pending, arranging parts,
  • Technical support to Dealers
  • Tracking of mechanic wise Productivity and actions for improvement
  • Warranty Monitor and Co Ordination with National service team
  • Submission of all service reports timely to National service team

Qualifications

  • Degree/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Knowledge in basic computer packages (Especially MS Excel and MS Word)
  • At least two years working experience in the same/related position.
  • Must possess good communication skills.
  • Must be of good conduct and integrity.
  • Must be willing and able to work under pressure with minimum supervision.
  • Must have better understanding of both TVS Bikes, Piaggio and Briggs service and repair.
  • Must have a valid driving license
