This role requires excellent communication skills, as you’ll collaborate with various people, such as construction workers, architects, and engineers. In order to succeed, it’s important to know how to implement quality, health, and safety standards onsite.

Supervise the following activities:

  • Tiling & SPC
  • Plastering
  • Painting
  • Doors and Windows installation
  • Electrical
  • Plumbing
  • Kitchen installations

Responsibilities:

  • Provide full time HANDS ON site supervision,
  • Effectively allocate labour, equipment, materials and artisans to maximise productivity, safety and to minimise deficiencies.
  • Effectively understand the project schedule to ensure deadlines are met on time.
  • Communicate scope of work requirements to artisans, review production, quality and ensure implementation.
  • Quantify and track all materials inclusive of ordering, inspecting and verifying shipments from suppliers.
  • Calculate, monitor and track all materials required for each project ensuring no overruns.
  • Correspond with the project manager team regarding all adjustments as required, ensuring any materials are ordered in advance in order to meet deadlines.
  • Conduct daily tool box talks for his team.
  • Communicate and administer all Safety policies and conduct site safety meetings.
  • Resolve day to day field personnel issues and provide incident reports for head office files.
  • Other Assignments as required.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience as a construction finishing supervisor.
  • Minimum Diploma in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management
  • Continuous improvement attitude.
  • To act with integrity and honesty at all times.
  • Ability to read and understand drawings/specifications.
  • Excellent organisational and planning skills.
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines and schedules while maintaining safety and profitability.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Work within the project framework and adhere to all Company guidelines and policies.
  • Ability to work with minimum supervision.
