JOB DETAILS:

Duties and Responsibilities
Duties and responsibilities will be to carry out duties in the mortuary which entail:

• Collecting and receiving bodies within the hospital and outside through the prescribed procedures;
• Recording bodies received;
• Washing the bodies, embalming, and refrigeration;
• Scrubbing and assisting in post mortems;
• Counselling the relatives and
• Releasing the bodies to the relatives as per the laid procedures.

Requirements for Appointment

• Be a Kenyan citizen;
• Possess a Certificate in mortuary science;
• At least three (3) years of relevant work experience in a busy mortuary or a reputable Funeral Home:
• Attained a mean grade of D (Plain) at Kenya Certificate of Secondary  Education (KCSE);
• Training in embalming and grief counseling:
• Good interpersonal and communication skills and
• Strong English and Swahili language skills.

Work Hours: 8

Experience in Months: 36

Level of Education: professional certificate
