Our client, a leading player in the construction industry, is seeking to recruit a dynamic and results-oriented Aggregate Sales Officer to drive the sales of construction aggregates, including ballast, crusher run, sand, hardcore, and stone. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, maintaining strong customer relationships, coordinating timely product delivery, and ensuring efficient collections in line with the company's credit policy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities for aggregate products within the construction sector.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with contractors, developers, engineers, hardware retailers, and other key customers.
  • Prepare, issue, and follow up on quotations and sales orders.
  • Coordinate with the plant, weighbridge, and transport teams to ensure timely and accurate product deliveries.
  • Monitor customer credit limits and ensure compliance with the company's credit policy.
  • Follow up on outstanding payments and work closely with the Finance team to improve collections and minimize overdue accounts.
  • Maintain an up-to-date customer database, including contact details, pricing, delivery locations, and credit status.
  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly sales, pipeline, and collection reports.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and upcoming construction projects to identify sales opportunities.
  • Deliver excellent customer service to promote repeat business and long-term client relationships.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Sales & Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3–5 years' experience in aggregates, quarry products, construction materials, cement, concrete, or building materials sales.
  • Proven experience in credit sales and debt collection within the construction or related industry.
  • Experience dealing with contractors, developers, hardware outlets, and infrastructure projects will be an added advantage.

Key Competencies

  • Excellent sales, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Good understanding of credit management and debt collection processes.
  • Strong record-keeping, reporting, and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and basic ERP systems.
  • Highly organized, proactive, results-driven, and able to work under pressure to achieve sales targets.
