JOB DETAILS:

Duties and Responsibilities

This is the entry and training grade for this cadre. An officer at this level will work under the guidance and supervision of a senior officer. Duties and responsibilities will entail: -

• Drafting engineering drawings for agricultural machinery, equipment and structures; fabricating agricultural machinery and equipment;
• carrying out scheduled service and maintenance of machinery and equipment; and
• carrying out field demonstrations.

Requirements for Appointment

For appointment to this grade, an officer must have: -

• Diploma in any of the following disciplines: - Agricultural Engineering, Soil and Water Engineering, Farm Power and Machinery, Irrigation and Drainage Engineering, Agricultural Processing and Structures or any other relevant and equivalent qualification from a recognized institution;

OR

• Technician Part III in any of the following disciplines: - Agricultural Engineering, Soil and Water Engineering, Farm Power and Machinery, Irrigation and Drainage Engineering, Processing and Structures or any other relevant and equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.

Work Hours: 8

Experience in Months: 12

Level of Education: bachelor degree
