Our client, a leading player in the construction industry, is seeking to recruit a highly motivated and results-driven Asphalt Sales Executive to spearhead the growth of its asphalt business. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, developing strategic client relationships, driving sales growth, and ensuring excellent customer service while coordinating closely with production, logistics, finance, and quality teams.

Responsibilities or duties

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and pursue asphalt sales opportunities across public and private sector construction projects.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with contractors, developers, consultants, government agencies, and other key stakeholders.
  • Promote the company's asphalt products and prepare competitive quotations in line with approved pricing policies.
  • Negotiate sales within approved commercial parameters and achieve monthly and annual sales targets.
  • Initiate client credit applications, support collections, and work closely with the Finance team to ensure timely payment.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and upcoming infrastructure projects to identify new business opportunities.
  • Prepare accurate sales forecasts, pipeline reports, and performance reports.
  • Coordinate with Production, Logistics, and Quality Control teams to ensure timely product delivery and effective resolution of client technical queries.
  • Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction and foster long-term client relationships.

Qualifications or requirements

Qualifications & Experience

  • Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3–5 years' experience in asphalt, construction materials, aggregates, concrete, cement, infrastructure, or related construction sales.
  • Demonstrated understanding of road construction projects, asphalt products, and construction specifications.
  • Experience working with contractors, developers, consultants, or government infrastructure projects will be an added advantage.

Experience needed

Minimum of 3–5 years' experience in asphalt, construction materials, aggregates, concrete, cement, infrastructure, or related construction sales.

  • Excellent business development and negotiation skills.
  • Strong relationship management and networking abilities.
  • Good understanding of credit sales and debt collection processes.
  • Ability to interpret project information, tender documents, and Bills of Quantities (BOQs).

  • Highly self-motivated, target-driven, and able to work independently.
