Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist in conducting topographic, cadastral, and engineering surveys
  • Operate and maintain survey instruments such as total stations, GNSS receivers, and levels
  • Set up and mark survey control points and boundaries under supervision.
  • Record field measurements and observations accurately.
  • Assist in downloading, organizing, and processing survey data using relevant software.
  • Support the preparation of survey plans, maps, and reports.
  • Ensure proper care, calibration, and transportation of survey equipment
  • Maintain inventory of tools and materials required for fieldwork
  • Follow established procedures and safety protocols during field operations
  • Ensure survey activities comply with legal and regulatory standards
  • Work closely with senior surveyors, engineers, and GIS specialists
  • Participate in site visits, stakeholder meetings, and project briefings as required,
  • Performing any other duty as may be delegate from time to time.

Requirements for Appointment

  • Be a Kenyan Citizen
  • Diploma in any of the following disciplines: Land Surveying, Geodetic Survey, Cadastral Survey. Geospatial Engineering, Geomatics, Civil Engineering, Geography or equivalent from a recognized institution
  • Familiarity with survey instruments and basic GIS/CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, ArcGIS)
  • Fulfils the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution
