Background

The MEI Project is a collaborative initiative focused on improving maternal and child health outcomes. The Department of Paediatrics and Child Health at the University of Nairobi is seeking to recruit an Assistant Research Officer to support the project's research activities.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the design and implementation of research protocols.
  • Collect, manage, and analyze research data.
  • Contribute to the preparation of research reports and publications.
  • Provide administrative support for research activities.
  • Liaise with project stakeholders and research participants.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Social Sciences, Public Health, or a related field.
  • Master's degree in a relevant field is an added advantage.
  • Proven experience in research data collection and analysis.
  • Proficiency in statistical software (e.g., SPSS, R).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Experience

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in research, preferably in a health-related project.

Additional Notes

This is a full-time position. The successful candidate will be expected to travel to project sites as needed.
