Duties and responsibilities

• Support the effective rolling out of the integration energy of sustainable and renewable energy aspirations within the county
• Conduct repairs for energy infrastructure within the county
• Prepare field inspection reports and submit to the engineer
• Prepare maintenance schedule for energy infrastructure within the county
• Assist the energy engineer in the project design, specification and preparation of BQs
• Any other duty as may be assigned from time to time by the energy engineer or county director of energy

Requirements for appointment

• Be a Kenyan Citizen
• Be in possession of a diploma in electrical engineering
• Have a minimum of 3 years’ experience working as an electrician
• Experience in solar or wind energy will be desirable
• Have a good conduct and management skills
• Demonstrate ability to handle complex processes and information integration issues
• Ability to remain effective under minimal supervision
• Ability to interpret electrical drawings
• Be registered with Energy and Petroleum Regulatory Authority (EPRA) as an electrician-Class C2/C1
