About the Role

Mogo Kenya is seeking a strategic and relationship-driven Brand Manager to strengthen partnerships with key OEMs and distributors under our smartphone financing business. This role combines partnership management, brand alignment, and coordinated marketing initiatives, ensuring Mogo and its OEM partners achieve shared growth targets. The ideal candidate understands both the smartphone industry and the consumer financing space, with experience managing brand partnerships, coordinating campaigns, and supporting retail sales initiatives through strong collaboration and structured execution.

What you will do:

OEM & Partner Relationship Management

  • Serve as the primary contact for OEMs and distributors (e.g., Transsion, Samsung, Itel, Infinix).
  • Develop and maintain strong long-term relationships that enhance cooperation on sales, marketing, and product initiatives.
  • Ensure smooth coordination on new product introductions, pricing alignment, and promotional priorities.
  • Negotiate and manage partner support programs, co-funding agreements, and marketing contributions.
  • Facilitate quarterly business reviews with partners to assess performance, challenges, and opportunities.

Brand Coordination & Market Visibility

  • Ensure brand consistency and alignment across all Mogo and partner communication touchpoints.
  • Collaborate with OEMs and Mogo’s Sales and Operations teams on in-store visibility, retail branding, and co-branded campaigns.
  • Coordinate the rollout of joint marketing activities at dealer and promoter level.
  • Track performance of OEM and distributor promotions, providing regular feedback and insights.

Data & Performance Analysis

  • Analyze product performance by OEM, region, and sales channel.
  • Identify trends in customer preferences, sales conversion, and partner contribution.
  • Provide actionable insights to management to guide partner strategy and product focus.
  • Support financial tracking and reporting for OEM-supported marketing and rebate programs.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with Sales, Operations, and Training teams to align partner activities with Mogo’s business goals.
  • Support field teams and loan officers with updated marketing and product materials from OEMs.
  • Coordinate with Customer Care to ensure consistent messaging and product knowledge across customer-facing channels.

What you will need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in brand, account, or partner management, ideally in the smartphone, telco, or consumer financing industries.
  • Proven experience working with or managing relationships with OEMs or distributors.
  • Strong understanding of phone sales, product lifecycles, and retail dynamics.
  • Excellent relationship management and stakeholder coordination skills.
  • Analytical mindset with ability to translate data into actionable insights.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills; fluent in English and Swahili.

Nice to Have

  • Experience working with Transsion brands (Tecno, Infinix, Itel) or Samsung.
  • Exposure to the financing or credit ecosystem (e.g., telco financing, device lending, or BNPL).
  • Experience in co-branded marketing or joint business planning with OEMs.
  • Familiarity with digital marketing analytics tools or CRM systems.
