Our client is an integrated Tech, Marketing and Communications (ITMC) agency that helps brands grow through digital strategy, technology, creativity, and performance marketing.
The company offers services including web design and hosting, digital marketing, social media management, influencer campaigns, media buying, and brand strategy for businesses across Africa.
Role Overview
The Business Development Executive (BDE) will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building relationships with potential clients, and driving revenue growth.
The role requires a proactive individual who understands digital marketing, technology solutions, and brand strategy services.
Responsibilities or duties
1. Lead Generation & Prospecting
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities across SMEs, corporates, and organizations.
- Build and maintain a strong pipeline of qualified leads.
- Conduct outreach through networking, email campaigns, events, and partnerships.
2. Client Acquisition
- Pitch the company’s digital and technology services to prospective clients.
- Conduct client meetings, presentations, and product demonstrations.
- Understand client needs and propose customized solutions.
3. Sales & Revenue Growth
- Achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets.
- Prepare proposals, quotations, and contracts.
- Negotiate pricing and close deals.
4. Relationship Management
- Build long-term relationships with new and existing clients.
- Act as the main point of contact for business clients.
- Ensure high client satisfaction and retention.
5. Market Research & Strategy
- Monitor market trends, competitors, and industry opportunities.
- Identify potential sectors for growth.
- Contribute insights to business development strategies.
6. Collaboration
- Work closely with internal teams including marketing, design, and development to deliver client solutions.
- Support campaign launches and client onboarding.
Qualifications or requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or related field
- Minimum of 4 years’ experience in business development, sales, or account management
- Experience selling digital marketing, advertising, technology, agency services, consultancy services is desirable
- Strong presentation, negotiation, and communication skills
- Proven ability to meet sales targets
- B2B sales experience
- Understanding of digital marketing services, SEO, PPC, social media marketing, and web development will be an added advantage
- CRM experience (HubSpot, Salesforce, etc.)
- Strong networking and relationship-building abilities
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills
