Key Responsibilities
Business Development & Market Entry
- Spearhead market entry initiatives and establish the company’s presence in Uganda.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities in power systems, HVAC, and infrastructure sectors.
- Build a robust pipeline of government and private sector projects.
Relationship Management
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders including government agencies, private sector companies, and industry players.
- Represent the company at industry forums, trade fairs, and networking events.
Market Research & Strategy
- Conduct market research and competitor analysis to monitor industry trends, market dynamics, and emerging opportunities.
- Provide strategic insights to management to shape business strategy and decision-making.
Sales & Growth
- Drive sales growth by expanding existing accounts and acquiring new clients.
- Develop and execute business development plans aligned with company objectives.
Solutions Development
- Collaborate with internal technical teams to design and present tailored solutions that meet client requirements.
- Ensure proposals are competitive, innovative, and aligned with industry standards.
Tendering, Bidding & Contract Management
- Lead tendering and bidding processes for government and private projects.
- Ensure compliance with client requirements, legal frameworks, and company policies.
- Negotiate contracts and agreements, ensuring favorable terms and risk mitigation for the company.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Energy Management, or a related field (MBA is an added advantage).
- 5–7 years of experience in business development, operations, or related roles in the energy, power systems, HVAC, or infrastructure sectors, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
- Strong understanding of Uganda’s power systems, HVAC, and infrastructure sectors, including regulatory requirements and market dynamics.
- Proven track record in sales growth, market entry, and stakeholder engagement.
- Familiarity with renewable energy, smart grid technologies, or electrical system integration is a plus.
