CCTV, Video Surveillance & Analytics Specialist
Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Video Analytics Quality Control Specialist to ensure the accuracy, reliability, and effectiveness of CCTV and video analytics systems. The role involves reviewing camera configurations, analytics settings, detection zones, footage, and system alerts to identify issues and improve detection performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and validate CCTV camera and video analytics configurations.
- Assess camera positioning, field of view, detection zones, exclusion zones, and privacy masking.
- Review recorded footage and security events to identify false positives, missed detections, and configuration issues.
- Conduct quality-control audits and verify corrective actions.
- Perform basic troubleshooting of cameras, VMS platforms, connectivity, and analytics settings.
- Identify recurring system issues and recommend improvements.
- Prepare quality-control reports and maintain accurate documentation.
- Collaborate with technical, monitoring, security, and operations teams.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- 2+ years of hands-on experience in CCTV, video surveillance, remote video monitoring, video analytics, or security systems.
- Experience with CCTV/IP cameras, VMS platforms, and video analytics.
- Practical knowledge of detection zones, motion detection, privacy masking, and exclusion zones.
- Experience reviewing footage and investigating detection or configuration issues.
- Basic understanding of IP networking, PoE, connectivity, and remote troubleshooting.
- Strong analytical, technical troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and reporting skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and web-based systems.
Preferred
- Experience with AI-powered video analytics.
- Experience with multiple VMS/surveillance platforms.
- Experience in a Security Operations Center (SOC) or Remote Video Monitoring environment.
- CCTV, networking, or security systems certification.
