The Judicial Service Commission (JSC) is a Constitutional Commission established
under Article 171 of the Constitution of Kenya,2010 to promote and facilitate
the independence and accountability of the Judiciary and the efficient, effective and
transparent administration of justice.
The Commission invites applications from qualified persons

Meeting Management: Planning and conducting meetings according to the rules and ensuring they start and end on time. Agenda Setting: Working with staff to create a work plan and an agenda that allows the committee to meet its objectives. Facilitation: Guiding discussions, ensuring all issues are considered, and promoting consensus. Decision Implementation: Ensuring that decisions made by the committee are carried out. Reporting: Keeping leadership and the committee informed of activities and progress. Delegation: Assigning tasks and responsibilities to committee members. Representation: Acting as the primary public representative for the committee or organization, as authorized. Evaluation: Monitoring the committee's performance and communicating accomplishments.
i. High degree of professional competence ii. Good oral & written communication skills iii. Good temperament iv. Good judgement in both legal and life experience v. Commitment to public and community service
i. Hold a law degree from a recognized university, or are advocates of the High Court of Kenya, or professionally qualified magistrate, or possess an equivalent qualification in a common-law jurisdiction ii. Have at least ten (10) years’ experience as a distinguished academic, or legal practitioner or such experience in other relevant legal field; iii. Have held the qualifications specified in paragraphs (i) and (ii) above for a period amounting, in the aggregate, to ten (10) years; irrespective of whether that experience was gained in Kenya or in another Commonwealth Common-Law jurisdiction. iv. Qualification and experience in alternative dispute resolution will be an added advantage. v. Have a high moral character, integrity and impartiality (meet the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution on Leadership and Integrity). vi. In addition, the applicants should demonstrate a high degree of professional competence, communication skills, fairness, good temperament, good judgment, wide breath of both legal and life experience and demonstrable commitment
