Who are we?

TIBU Health was founded in 2018 by a small team of health and technology experts with one objective in mind: make it easier for people to obtain high quality healthcare services. We adopt the latest, most advanced technologies in health and logistics to provide patients with a convenient and coordinated end-to-end healthcare experience that re...

Clinical Assessment & Outpatient Care

  • Perform comprehensive dermatological examinations, history taking, and targeted diagnostic checks for both pediatric and adult populations.
  • Diagnose and manage chronic or acute dermatological and venereological profiles (e.g., severe acne, atopic eczema, psoriasis, rosacea, melasma, and standard cutaneous infections).
  • Formulate personalized, evidence-based therapeutic treatment plans utilizing approved national clinical guidelines and formulary-compliant topical or systemic medications.

Authorized Independent Procedures

  • Perform primary diagnostic interventions including punch/shave skin biopsies, skin scrapings for mycological analysis, and Wood’s lamp evaluations.
  • Execute minor surgical and therapeutic interventions such as cryosurgery (liquid nitrogen ablation) for viral warts, skin tags, and benign lesions.
  • Conduct specialized intermediate aesthetic interventions including microneedling (Collagen Induction Therapy), superficial-to-medium chemical peels, and Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) therapy for hair or skin rejuvenation under established clinical protocols.
  • Conduct full-body surface skin mappings and provide patient education on basic photoprotection and chronic condition flare-up prevention.

Clinical Boundaries & Mandatory Escalation Protocols

Aesthetic Limitations: Strictly refrain from independent, un-proctored deployment of high-risk cosmetic injectables—including Botox® (neuromodulators), Juvéderm®/Restylane® (deep dermal fillers), and high-power structural biostimulators (Sculptra®/Radiesse®)—unless directly supervised or authorized under a collaborative framework signed by a Lead Consultant Dermatologist.

Surgical & Diagnostic Limitations: Escalate suspected malignant or complex atypical lesions (e.g., advanced melanoma or basal cell carcinoma requiring deep surgical margins) to a Consultant Dermatologist or plastic surgeon.

Complication Management: Immediately invoke emergency protocols and escalate any sub-surface clinical anomalies, unexpected tissue necrosis, or severe drug eruptions to the Lead Consultant Dermatologist or Medical Director.

Role Requirements & Technical Qualifications

Academic Foundation: Diploma in Clinical Medicine & Surgery from a recognized training institution.

Specialized Training: Higher Diploma in Dermatology and Venereology from the Kenya Medical Training College (KMTC) or an equivalent institutional framework approved by the COC.

Professional Registration: Active registration and a valid, current practicing license from the Clinical Officers Council (COC) of Kenya.

Clinical Experience: Minimum of 3–5 years of progressive post-qualification clinical experience, with at least 2 years explicitly focused within a dedicated dermatology department or specialized aesthetic clinic.

Procedural Competency: Documented logbook or proven clinical proficiency in minor skin surgery, cryotherapy, and basic aesthetic resurfacing interventions.
