Role Summary
The Community Moderator will be responsible for driving community engagement before and during the summit by managing the digital community space on Slack. This role involves creating excitement around the summit, moderating discussions, responding to attendee questions, sharing important updates, and fostering meaningful interactions among participants. The ideal volunteer should be proactive, personable, and skilled at creating a welcoming and engaging community experience.
Responsibilities
- Moderate Summit Slack channel and maintain active engagement
- Respond to attendee questions and frequently asked questions
- Share timely updates, announcements, and reminders
- Encourage networking and conversations among attendees
- Escalate unresolved concerns to the SCA team when necessary
Requirements
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Proactive and personable
- Comfortable managing online communities and group discussions
- Passion for community building and women in technology
