- Position Type: Independent Contractor / One-Time Assignment
- Location: Uganda (short-term travel required)
- Compensation: Travel expenses reimbursed (lodging, transportation, meals) + success-based project fee upon completion and delivery of requested information.
Position Overview
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented contract investigator to conduct short-term, on-theground research related to a specific person of interest located in Uganda. The assignment will involve traveling to Uganda for a few days to gather evidence using video surveillance of their presence at the given location while abiding by local laws. The investigator will compile findings and provide a structured report upon returning.
Responsibilities
- Travel to Uganda for a brief investigative assignment (anticipated duration: 3 days of surveillance, 2 days of travel, unless completed sooner).
- Conduct investigative research related to a designated individual.
- Document findings carefully and maintain organized notes.
- Prepare and submit a clear written report summarizing findings and including supporting documentation and video evidence.
- Maintain discretion and professionalism throughout the assignment and abide by local laws.
- Communicate progress updates during travel and investigation.
Compensation
- All reasonable travel expenses covered up to $600 USD, including:
- Lodging
- Meals
- Local transportation
- Project fee of $2,000 USD paid upon successful completion and delivery of requested information.
Qualifications
- Ability to conduct independent field research in an international environment.
- Background in private investigation, police force, military, intelligence, or field research.
- Valid passport and ability to travel to Uganda.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with surveillance, investigative field research, due diligence, intelligence analysis, or similar fields preferred.
- High level of discretion, professionalism, and ethical judgment.
- Strong observational and documentation skills.
- Familiarity with rural Ugandan languages and customs.
- Ability to produce concise and well-structured reports.
Additional Information
This is a one-time contract assignment, though additional research opportunities may arise in the future depending on performance and project needs.
