COOK

Job Purpose

The Cook will assist in preparing and cooking quality meals while maintaining high standards of food safety, hygiene, cleanliness, and kitchen efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare ingredients for cooking.
• Cook meals according to recipes and instructions.
• Ensure food is properly cooked and presented.
• Maintain consistent quality and portion sizes.
• Assist with food preparation during busy service periods.
• Store ingredients correctly and safely.
• Monitor food supplies and report shortages.
• Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and kitchen equipment.
• Minimize food wastage.
• Follow food hygiene and safety procedures.
• Assist the Chef and other kitchen staff as required.

Qualifications & Skills

• Previous cooking experience is an advantage.
• Basic knowledge of food preparation and cooking.
• Knowledge of food hygiene and safe food handling.
• Ability to work quickly and efficiently.
• Reliable, hardworking, and team-oriented.
• Ability to work under pressure.
