Role Description
This is a contract and fully remote role for a Data Security Trainer & Data Privacy Laws Trainer. The role involves designing and delivering training materials on data security best practices and data privacy laws. The trainer will conduct virtual workshops, provide subject-specific guidance, develop compliance guidelines, and help participants enhance their understanding and application of relevant privacy regulations and data protection strategies. Collaboration with internal and external stakeholders to create content tailored for specific audiences is also a key responsibility.
Qualifications
- In-depth understanding and expertise in Data Security principles and protocols
- Knowledge of Data Privacy Laws, such as GDPR, POPIA, and other international standards
- Proficient in content development, training facilitation, and creating learning materials
- Strong communication and public speaking skills for effective knowledge transfer
- Experience in e-learning platforms and delivering virtual training sessions is an advantage
- Certifications in data privacy or security, such as CIPP/E, CIPM, or CISSP, highly desirable
- Commitment to promoting understanding and awareness of data protection policies and ethical practices
- Prior experience in working with non-profits or organizations focused on migration, human rights, or social justice is a bonus
- Bachelor's degree, preferably in Cybersecurity, Law, Information Technology, or a related field
