Job Summary

The Deck Crew is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the ship's deck department. This includes a variety of tasks related to navigation, mooring, cargo handling, and general maintenance of the ship's exterior.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in navigation and watchkeeping duties.
  • Participate in mooring and unmooring operations.
  • Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of deck equipment and areas.
  • Operate deck machinery such as winches and cranes.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and procedures.
  • Assist in emergency response situations.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Basic knowledge of maritime operations and safety procedures.
  • Ability to work in a physically demanding environment, including outdoor conditions.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Must be able to obtain a Seafarer's Medical Certificate.

Experience

Previous experience in a maritime or related field is a plus, but not required. Training will be provided.
