Background:

The Nairobi City County Public Service Board is committed to providing affordable, accessible, and sustainable quality services to enhance community participation and create a secure climate for political, social, and economic development.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead development of tender processes, policies, and operationalization of supply chain strategies
  • Ensure correct interpretation and implementation of PPADA, 2015 and its regulations
  • Prepare procurement plans in the County
  • Review tender documents for compliance
  • Participate in the development of procurement and Contract Administration manuals
  • Provide guidelines on safety and security for timely disclosure of procurement information
  • Manage supplier relationships and maintain accurate supplier database
  • Prepare and submit procurement reports
  • Develop budgets, work plans, and performance targets
  • Participate in negotiations with suppliers
  • Review contract documents and maintain professional standards
  • Implement training programs for supply chain management officers
  • Perform any other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Master’s Degree in Purchasing and Supply Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Purchasing and Supply Management, Business Administration, or related field
  • Minimum 8 years of procurement experience
  • Leadership course lasting at least 4 weeks
  • Certificate in computer proficiency
  • Full membership to a professional body (KISM/CIPS)
  • Compliance with SPM Act 2007 and Chapter Six of the constitution
