Role Overview:

The Electrical Engineering Tutor will deliver high-quality technical training to students in the Electrical Engineering program, ensuring alignment with the TVET CDACC curriculum. The ideal candidate will have practical industry experience, strong pedagogical skills, and a passion for mentoring future electrical engineering professionals.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Deliver engaging lectures, practical demonstrations, and hands-on training in electrical engineering topics (e.g., circuit theory, power systems, electronics, control systems).
2. Develop lesson plans, teaching materials, and assessments tailored to the TVET CDACC curriculum.
3. Supervise students during laboratory sessions, workshops, and industry attachments.
4. Evaluate student performance through tests, projects, and practical assessments.
5. Mentor students in academic and career development, fostering industry-ready skills.
6. Maintain laboratory equipment and ensure a safe, inclusive learning environment.
7. Participate in curriculum reviews, departmental meetings, and institutional initiatives.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Degree or Higher Diploma in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of teaching/training experience in a TVET or similar institution.
• Proven ability to teach the TVET CDACC curriculum effectively.
• Registration with TVETA and KSTVET Certification (Pedagogy) is an added advantage.
• Industry experience in electrical engineering (e.g., power systems, electronics, renewable energy) is preferred.
• Strong communication, organizational, and mentorship skills.
