Role Summary
The Entrepreneurship Development Analyst will support the delivery and growth of ALX’s entrepreneurship programming in Kenya with a strong focus on Founder Academy recruitment, founder engagement, event coordination, retention, and programme operations.
This is a highly execution-oriented role for someone who enjoys working directly with founders, coordinating events and experiences, driving engagement, and ensuring strong operational follow-through.
This individual will work closely with the Entrepreneurship Development Manager to strengthen founder pipeline conversion, maintain a high-quality cohort experience, improve retention and participation rates, and ensure entrepreneurship programmes are delivered with excellence and consistency across markets.
Specific Responsibilities
Founder Academy Recruitment and Pipeline Support
- Support recruitment and outreach efforts for the Founder Academy in Kenya to help achieve enrolment targets.
- Assist with lead generation, founder outreach, follow-up, screening coordination, and conversion activities across the recruitment funnel.
- Track prospective founder journeys from initial interest through application, onboarding, and enrolment to support stronger pipeline visibility and follow-through.
- Work closely with the Entrepreneurship Development Manager and relevant internal teams to ensure timely communication with prospective founders.
- Support the execution of recruitment campaigns, information sessions, outreach events, and other market activation activities that build programme awareness and attract strong candidates.
Founder Engagement And Cohort Experience
- Support the day-to-day engagement of founders throughout the Founder Academy journey to encourage participation, accountability, and programme completion.
- Help create a strong, responsive, and motivating founder experience from onboarding through active programme participation.
- Monitor founder attendance, engagement levels, milestone completion, and participation trends to identify risks early and support stronger retention.
- Conduct regular check-ins and follow-ups with founders to encourage consistency, resolve barriers to participation, and maintain momentum.
- Support the Entrepreneurship Development Manager in implementing engagement strategies that improve completion rates, learner satisfaction, and founder outcomes.
Events and Community Activation
- Coordinate and support entrepreneurship events designed to increase founder engagement, strengthen community, and maintain high retention across the cohort.
- Organise and execute community touchpoints such as onboarding sessions, founder meetups, fireside chats, office hours, networking events, pitch events, and ecosystem conversations.
- Manage logistics for in-person and virtual events, including planning, scheduling, communications, attendance tracking, and post-event follow-up.
- Help create engaging founder-facing experiences that build belonging, accountability, and excitement within the entrepreneurship community.
- Support the Entrepreneurship Development Manager in ensuring events are well-run, valuable to participants, and aligned with broader entrepreneurship goals.
Programme Coordination and Operational Support
- Support the smooth coordination and administration of entrepreneurship programmes in Kenya.
- Maintain accurate records related to recruitment, founder participation, attendance, progress tracking, and programme engagement.
- Assist with onboarding processes, scheduling, founder communications, session coordination, and operational preparation for programme delivery.
- Ensure timely follow-up on action items, founder needs, and operational requirements that contribute to a seamless programme experience.
- Provide executional support to the Entrepreneurship Development Manager across Founder Academy, incubator-related activities, and community initiatives as needed.
Monitoring, Reporting, and Continuous Improvement
- Track founder engagement, participation, retention, and progression data to support performance management and programme improvement.
- Help compile weekly and monthly updates on recruitment performance, cohort engagement, event participation, and founder progress.
- Identify emerging trends, challenges, and opportunities related to founder engagement and retention, and escalate them appropriately.
- Gather participant feedback and support analysis of founder experience to improve future programme delivery.
- Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement by helping refine processes, communication flows, and engagement approaches over time.
Cross-Functional and Ecosystem Support
- Work closely with the Entrepreneurship Development Manager and internal teams to ensure strong coordination across entrepreneurship activities.
- Support relationship-building with local ecosystem players, mentors, speakers, and partners by assisting with communication, scheduling, and event coordination.
- Represent ALX professionally in founder-facing engagements and community touchpoints.
