The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the mechanical integrity of the plant, ensuring minimal downtime, and supporting operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine, preventive, and breakdown maintenance on mechanical equipment throughout the fertilizer plant.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical faults in mills, gearboxes, drives, conveyors, pumps, and other rotating or static equipment.
- Draft, interpret, and modify mechanical drawings using AutoCAD or SolidWorks for installations, retrofits, and process improvements.
- Monitor and document equipment performance, maintaining comprehensive maintenance logs and reports.
- Lead or support the installation, commissioning, and modification of new mechanical systems and equipment.
- Coordinate with electrical and instrumentation teams to ensure cross-functional maintenance execution.
- Adhere to and enforce occupational health and safety standards during all mechanical interventions.
- Assist in planning and managing the mechanical spare parts inventory.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives focused on reducing equipment downtime and increasing plant efficiency.
Qualifications:
- Diploma in Mechanical or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, troubleshooting techniques, and preventive maintenance practices.
- Familiarity with safety regulations and maintenance best practices.
- Ability to work in a remote location and manage on-site maintenance teams.
