JOB DETAILS:
Background
The National Drought Management Authority (NDMA) is a state corporation established under the Ministry of Devolution and ASALs. Its mandate is to establish and coordinate mechanisms for drought management in Kenya.
Responsibilities
The Finance & Accounts Officer II will be responsible for:
- Assisting in the preparation of financial statements and reports.
- Maintaining accurate financial records and ledgers.
- Processing payments and invoices.
- Reconciling bank statements and other financial accounts.
- Ensuring compliance with financial regulations and policies.
- Assisting in internal and external audits.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate should possess:
- A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- Professional qualifications such as CPA, ACCA, or equivalent.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Experience
A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in finance and accounting.
