Background
Galentine Care Ltd is a social enterprise with a vision to end period poverty through market-based solutions. The role will focus on building a robust internal control environment within Galentine Care Ltd to ensure the accurate and timely preparation of financial reports for both internal (Galentine Care Ltd) and external stakeholders (GalCare). Working closely with functional and business-unit heads, the Comptroller will play a key role in driving the organization’s annual financial objectives and supporting informed decision-making.
Qualifications and Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field. Master’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting.
→ Professional accounting qualification (CPA(K) or ACCA finalist).
→ Minimum of 8 years’ experience in a senior finance or accounting role within a busy commercial enterprise, external audit, or consultancy firm.
→ MUST have expertise and proficiency in accounting and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software that integrate accounting functions with other business operations (e.g., QuickBooks, inventory, sales, CRM, production).
→MUST have solid understanding and substantial work experience in the manufacturing sector in Kenya. Experience in FMCG manufacturing sector an advantage.
→Ability and desire to translate complex financial concepts to individuals at all levels including finance and non-finance managers
