Supply chain and Logistics Department
Job Purpose
To oversee fleet operations, vehicle maintenance, driver management, and fuel utilization while ensuring compliance with company Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) policies and transport safety regulations.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Supervise daily fleet operations and vehicle movement.
- Monitor vehicle availability and deployment schedules.
- Ensure all vehicles are serviced and maintained on schedule.
- Coordinate repairs, inspections, and breakdown response.
- Supervise mechanics and drivers to ensure operational efficiency and compliance with safety procedures.
- Monitor fuel consumption and investigate variances.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, road safety requirements, and transport regulations.
- Enforce adherence to HSE procedures, safe driving practices, and vehicle safety standards.
- Conduct regular vehicle inspections and ensure defects are corrected promptly.
- Ensure all drivers and mechanics use the required PPE and safety equipment.
- Conduct toolbox talks, safety briefings, and HSE awareness sessions.
- Investigate accidents, incidents, near misses, and mechanical failures and prepare reports.
- Ensure all fleet documentation including insurance, inspection certificates, licenses, and maintenance records are updated.
- Monitor driver behavior and compliance with safety procedures.
- Ensure emergency response equipment in vehicles is available and functional.
- Coordinate vehicle tracking and monitoring systems where applicable.
- Prepare fleet performance, maintenance, and HSE compliance reports.
- Support cost control initiatives related to fleet operations.
Qualifications and Experience
- Diploma/Degree in Transport Management, Mechanical Engineering, Logistics, or related field.
- Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in fleet management or transport operations.
- Experience supervising drivers and mechanics.
- Valid driving license preferred.
- Knowledge of transport safety and HSE compliance requirements.

- Good planning and coordination ability.
- Knowledge of vehicle maintenance and fleet operations.
- Strong understanding of HSE and road safety requirements.
- Good analytical and reporting skills.
