The Role
The Technical Expert will provide specialist expertise in Gender-Based Violence (GBV), Female Genital Mutilation/Cutting (FGM/C), child marriage, and harmful norms related to SRHR.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess programme results, effectiveness, and contribution to outcomes related to FGM/C, child marriage, GBV, and harmful SRHR-related norms.
- Support the design of survivor-sensitive and safeguarding-appropriate consultation approaches.
- Contribute thematic analysis to consolidated technical reports.
Requirements
- Advanced degree in Gender Studies, Public Health, Social Work, or a related field; PhD preferred.
- Minimum 10 years’ technical experience in GBV, FGM/C, child-marriage programming, research, or evaluation.
- Demonstrated experience applying survivor-centred and safeguarding approaches.
- Regional experience in the Horn of Africa is preferred.
- Experience with EU-funded or other multilateral third-party monitoring assignments is an advantage.
