The Role

The Technical Expert will provide specialist expertise in Gender-Based Violence (GBV), Female Genital Mutilation/Cutting (FGM/C), child marriage, and harmful norms related to SRHR.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess programme results, effectiveness, and contribution to outcomes related to FGM/C, child marriage, GBV, and harmful SRHR-related norms.
  • Support the design of survivor-sensitive and safeguarding-appropriate consultation approaches.
  • Contribute thematic analysis to consolidated technical reports.

Requirements

  • Advanced degree in Gender Studies, Public Health, Social Work, or a related field; PhD preferred.
  • Minimum 10 years’ technical experience in GBV, FGM/C, child-marriage programming, research, or evaluation.
  • Demonstrated experience applying survivor-centred and safeguarding approaches.
  • Regional experience in the Horn of Africa is preferred.
  • Experience with EU-funded or other multilateral third-party monitoring assignments is an advantage.
