GENERAL LABOURERS

Job Purpose

General Labourers will provide essential support to skilled workers and the wider construction team, helping ensure construction activities are completed efficiently, safely, and on schedule.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist skilled workers with construction activities.
• Load, unload, move, and organize construction materials.
• Prepare and mix materials as instructed.
• Assist with excavation, site preparation, cleaning, and general construction tasks.
• Carry tools and materials to designated work areas.
• Assist masons, carpenters, steel fixers, electricians, and plumbers as required.
• Maintain clean and organized work areas.
• Handle tools and equipment responsibly.
• Follow instructions from supervisors and skilled workers.
• Observe all health and safety procedures.
• Report hazards, damaged tools, or unsafe conditions.
• Perform other general duties assigned by the site supervisor.

Qualifications & Skills

• Basic education or relevant practical experience is an advantage.
• Previous construction experience is desirable but may not be essential.
• Physically fit and able to perform manual work.
• Reliable, hardworking, and disciplined.
• Ability to follow instructions.
• Good teamwork and communication skills.
• Strong commitment to workplace safety.
