As the General Manager, you will spearhead our Kenyan operations, bridging the gap between highly technical project executions and the company's financial objectives. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategic Leadership & Management
- Lead and inspire teams across Sales, Procurement, Finance, and Administration to achieve corporate objectives.
- Define and execute the company’s strategic plan for Kenya, ensuring alignment with regional and corporate goals.
- Foster a high-performance culture emphasizing accountability, innovation, and operational excellence.
Financial & Operational Oversight
- Develop, manage, and monitor the annual corporate budget and operational KPIs.
- Analyze financial and operational performance to ensure alignment of technical projects with profitability targets.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality or compliance.
Operational Efficiency & Process Improvement
- Identify operational bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and resource gaps, and implement tailored solutions.
- Oversee process improvements and technology integration to enhance productivity and service delivery.
Compliance & Risk Management
- Ensure all company operations comply with Kenyan legal, regulatory, and industry standards.
- Develop and maintain risk management strategies to safeguard company assets and operations.
- Maintain strong relationships with regulatory authorities, partners, and stakeholders.
Team Development & Stakeholder Engagement
- Mentor and develop senior managers to build a strong leadership pipeline.
- Promote cross-functional collaboration and communication between technical and business teams.
- Represent the company at industry forums, client meetings, and government engagements.
KEY REQUIREMENT SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Engineering, or a closely related field from a recognized university.
- An MBA is an added advantage.
- Proven leadership experience within the Kenyan technical, manufacturing, or scientific sector.
- Strong financial acumen and the ability to align technical output with business profitability.
