Kenyatta University, is a multi-campus public university in Kenya. As of October 2014, it was one of twenty three public universities in the country
Associate Professor – General Surgery at Kenyatta University (KU). Responsible for delivering clinical instruction to undergraduate and postgraduate medical students, conducting and publishing advanced surgical research, providing consultant surgical care, and mentoring junior faculty within the department.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- An earned PhD Degree or its equivalent in Medicine or Public Health from an accredited and recognized University.
- Master’s Degree or its equivalent with specialization in Neurosurgery, Cardiothoracic Surgery, General Surgery, Urology, Plastic Surgery, or Paediatrics from an accredited and recognized University
- At least three (3) years of university teaching experience as Senior Lecturer.
- A minimum of six (6) cumulative publication articles of which four (4) are from articles in refereed scholarly journals after being appointed Senior Lecturer.
- Successful supervision of at least four (4) postgraduate students, including at least one (1) doctoral student as Senior Lecturer.
- Evidence of applying for a grant either individually or as a group after being appointed as a Senior Lecturer.
- Evidence of attendance and contribution at learned conferences, seminars or workshops.
- Registration by the KMPDC and a valid practicing license.
