Job Summary
Provide operational and analytical support to the Facilities Manager in planning, coordinating and optimising field operations. Support performance monitoring, reporting, logistics coordination, workpack preparation and cross-functional communication to ensure safe, efficient and cost-effective field execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Facilities Manager with daily operational oversight: monitor field performance, compile status updates and highlight issues requiring escalation.
- Produce and maintain dashboards, KPI reports and operational pack(s) (production, maintenance, HSE, inventory, contractor performance).
- Assist in short-term operational planning and look-ahead schedules; coordinate with field supervisors, planners and contractors to align activities and resources.
- Prepare and review workpacks, scope documents and pre-job checklists for routine jobs, interventions and maintenance activities.
- Track and support materials, spares and logistics requirements; liaise with procurement and logistics to expedite critical deliveries.
- Coordinate communications between Office functions (maintenance, procurement, HSE, engineering, finance) and field teams to resolve issues and approve changes.
- Support incident reporting, investigation follow-up and implementation tracking of corrective actions and lessons learned.
- Contribute to cost monitoring by tracking operational expenditure, recording variances and assisting with simple cost forecasts.
- Assist in contractor performance monitoring: collate KPI data, document non-conformances and support performance review actions.
- Participate in pre-job planning, HSE meetings and post-job reviews; capture lessons learned and update procedures as required.
- Support asset integrity activities by tracking inspections, maintenance schedules and compliance items.
- Undertake assigned training and competency development; provide administrative support for rostering, travel and field mobilisation where required.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Petroleum, Chemical, Industrial Engineering or related discipline.
- 0–2 years’ relevant experience; internships or placements in operations, asset management or field support advantageous.
Technical Skills & Knowledge
- Basic understanding of production operations, maintenance planning, logistics and field contracting.
- Competence with Excel for data analysis, dashboarding and reporting; familiarity with Power BI/Tableau desirable.
- Exposure to CMMS (SAP/EAM), scheduling tools (MS Project/Primavera) or willingness to learn.
- Awareness of HSE systems, permit-to-work processes and incident management principles.
Behavioural & Interpersonal Skills
- Strong communication skills for effective liaison between office and field stakeholders.
- Analytical mindset with attention to detail and ability to prioritise tasks under supervision.
- Team player, proactive learner, and able to work under pressure with good time management.
- Professional attitude and cultural sensitivity for multi-disciplinary, multi-national teams.
Experience & Conditions
- Willingness to travel to field sites for mobilisation, audits or incident support; occasional extended hours to support operational events.
- Office-based role with close interaction with field teams; may require rotational or ad-hoc field presence.
Performance Indicators
- Timeliness and accuracy of operational reports, dashboards and look-ahead plans.
- Effectiveness in supporting reductions in field delays through timely coordination and logistics support.
- Quality of workpacks and handovers produced for field operations.
- Responsiveness in incident follow-up and tracking of corrective actions.
- Progress against individual competency and training plans.
