Keda Ceramics International Limited is a manufacturing company of ceramics tiles and sanitary ware located in Miwani, Kisumu County and sitting on 150 acres with its headquarters in Guangzhou, China.

Responsibilities or duties

The Graduate Trainee will undergo practical training and provide operational support within the Glaze Line Manufacturing Department. The role involves learning and assisting with inkjet printing, glaze quality monitoring, machine operation, production changeovers, hygiene, and routine quality checks to ensure products meet approved quality and production standards.

  • Assist with loading and checking image patterns to ensure consistency with approved samples.
  • Conduct 15-minute quality checks on glaze, printing patterns, edge washing, shade differences, missing ink, white edges, and other defects.
  • Print and inspect the five-colour test chart every two hours.
  • Assist with printhead/nozzle cleaning and routine inkjet machine operations.
  • Ensure correct ink is used, properly mixed, and within the expiry period.
  • Maintain inkjet room conditions, including temperature control between 10°C–24°C.
  • Clean and maintain inkjet machines and the work area as required.
  • Report machine faults, quality abnormalities, and production issues promptly.
  • Assist during production changeovers and other Glaze Line activities.
  • Follow all safety, hygiene, quality, and production procedures.
  • Perform other duties assigned by the Supervisor or Shift Leader.

Qualifications or requirements (e.g., education, skills)

Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Plant Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Mechatronics Engineering.

Proficient in the use of computers and Microsoft Office applications.

Willingness to work in a shift-based manufacturing environment.

Good communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.

Experience needed

Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
