Description
The Head of Business Development & Sales is responsible for developing and executing growth strategies that drive revenue generation and strengthen brand recognition across the Group. The role focuses on identifying new business opportunities, expanding the customer base, forming strategic partnerships, and increasing market penetration for the Group’s products and services.
Key Responsibilities
1. Business Growth & Revenue Generation
- Identify, develop, and close new business opportunities across target markets.
- Develop and implement sales strategies aligned with the Group’s revenue and growth objectives.
- Expand sales channels, including direct sales, resellers, partnerships, and events.
- Prepare sales forecasts, pricing strategies, and performance tracking frameworks.
- Oversee proposal development, contract negotiations, and deal closure.
- Work closely with technical and operational teams to ensure product and service offerings align with market needs.
2. Market Development & Strategy
- Design and lead integrated marketing campaigns to grow brand awareness and market visibility.
- Conduct market and competitor research to inform strategic positioning, messaging, and campaigns.
- Develop and manage marketing collateral, including product briefs, presentations, promotional materials, and sales tools.
- Measure and evaluate marketing ROI, campaign performance, and customer insights to guide continuous improvement.
3. Client & Partner Relationship Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, strategic partners, and stakeholders.
- Act as the primary point of contact for high-value and enterprise-level customers.
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction, retention, and long-term account growth through proactive engagement.
4. Team Leadership & Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Lead, mentor, and motivate the sales and marketing team to achieve performance targets.
- Define KPIs and performance metrics to drive sales efficiency and marketing effectiveness.
- Coordinate closely with network, customer service, finance, and technical teams to ensure seamless service delivery and customer experience.
5. Reporting, Performance Tracking & Insights
- Prepare and present regular sales, marketing, and business development reports to management.
- Track and analyse KPIs including revenue growth, customer acquisition, churn, conversion rates, and pipeline value.
- Provide data-driven insights and strategic recommendations to support executive decision-making.
Requirements
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, IT, or another related business discipline.
Experience
- Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in Business Development, Sales, or a related commercial role.
- Demonstrated experience in revenue growth, sales strategy execution, and customer acquisition.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong interpersonal and customer-facing skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
- Strong negotiation, presentation, and closing skills.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and market insights.
- Leadership capability with experience managing and motivating teams.
