Haven Healthcare is seeking a skilled Hospital Tailor to join our team. The tailor will be responsible for making, repairing, and adjusting hospital uniforms and linen to ensure staff always look neat and professional.

Garment Creation & Alteration: Sewing and assembling garments and other items according to detailed patient and staff specifications. Measuring patients or staff and recording body measurements accurately for custom fitting. Creating garments from scratch or modifying existing ones for a proper and comfortable fit. Performing various alterations such as hemming, taking in or letting out seams, and shortening sleeves. Repair & Maintenance: Repairing damaged or ripped clothing, including patching tears and reinforcing seams. Performing regular maintenance and cleaning of sewing machines and other tools. Hygiene & Safety: Maintaining a clean and organized work area, which is critical in a healthcare setting. Ensuring that all work adheres to hospital hygiene and safety standards to prevent cross-contamination.

Proficiency in sewing machine operation and hand-stitching techniques. Strong knowledge of fabrics, construction, and garment care. Excellent hand-eye coordination and attention to detail. Good communication and customer service skills, with empathy for patients. Organizational skills and the ability to work efficiently and under pressure.
