Background

Our client, a beautiful, eco-friendly lodge, is looking for a HR Administrator to be based in Nairobi, Kenya.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day management of human resources operations across the company’s two subsidiaries and Head Office. This role requires a self-driven individual who can manage payroll, ensure compliance with labour laws, maintain good staff relations, and oversee core HR processes with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities.

  • Run and manage payroll accurately and on time.
  • Ensure compliance with all HR policies, labour-laws, and regulatory requirements.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for staff HR-related queries and issues, maintaining positive employee relations.
  • Manage leave administration and records across all locations.
  • Handle disciplinary and grievance processes in line with company policy and labour regulations.
  • Coordinate and support HR activities across the company’s two subsidiaries and Head Office.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and HR documentation.
  • Prepare HR reports as required by management as well as oversee and support performance management processes.

Key Qualifications.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in HR or any related filed.
  • Minimum of 4 years’ experience in an HR administration.
  • Strong knowledge of HR rules, labour-laws, and compliance requirements in Kenya.
  • Highly organised, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to handle sensitive issues professionally.
  • Willingness to occasionally coordinate across multiple locations.
