Head Teacher

Key Responsibilities

Effective School Management and Planning

Oversee daily school operations to ensure smooth and efficient functioning.

Develop and implement strategic plans for school growth and improvement.

Build and maintain a positive, inclusive school culture that encourages learning and teamwork.

Teaching and Evaluating Staff Performance

Teach selected classes to model high-quality instructional practices.

Mentor and support teachers, recommending workshops and professional development.

Conduct performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback.

Set performance targets aligned with school goals.

Manage staff attendance, records, and leave per policy.

Facilities, Health & Safety

Ensure all school facilities are well maintained.

Enforce policies on facilities management, health, and safety.

Monitor compliance with health regulations and safety standards.

Financial Management

Ensure prudent financial management within approved budgets.

Oversee expenditures and resource allocation.

Manage procurement of supplies and learning materials.

Stakeholder Management

Engage parents, community members, and government agencies.

Hold regular meetings to provide updates on school progress and initiatives.

Marketing

Work with the marketing team to grow student enrollment.

Represent the school at community events.

Build strong relationships with students, parents, alumni, and the community.

Qualifications

Minimum 5 years of experience as a Head Teacher or Deputy.

Mature, competent individual aged 35+.

Bachelor’s Degree in Education (Master’s preferred).

Registered with TSC.

Experience with CBC curriculum.

Valid Certificate of Good Conduct.
