We are seeking a dynamic and proactive Head of Field Sales and Operations to lead and expand our offline sales operations across Kenya. The Head of Field Sales and Operations will be responsible for managing a growing team of field sales agents, ensuring high performance, and driving the expansion of the team into all key regions. This role is critical in shaping our offline sales strategy, achieving revenue growth, and building a strong, scalable sales force.The ideal candidate is a results-driven leader with proven experience in managing large teams, strong business acumen, and the ability to balance strategic planning with hands-on execution. A passion for developing people, optimizing sales performance, and delivering ambitious targets will be essential for success in this role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, coach and motivate a team of commission field sales agents to achieve and exceed sales targets.
- Recruit, onboard and train new sales agents to ensure consistent performance standards and scaling the team in all key regions of the country.
- Conduct regular performance reviews, set clear KPIs, implement development plans and provide comprehensive support to help agents to achieve the target.
- Foster a high-performance culture and ensure team alignment with company goals.
- Assist agents on-site throughout the sales process, from lead generation and exploring new markets to finalizing deals, ensuring consistent performance and revenue growth.
- Develop team members through monthly training sessions on sales tactics, client acquisition, and handling negativity and objections (at least one training per month).
- Monitor workflow: conduct calls or geolocation checks in real time at least twice a month to assess the performance of offline sales agents.
- Develop and implement sales strategies to drive revenue growth.
- Identify opportunities for new revenue streams and market expansion.
Performance Metrics (KPIs) / Success Measured By:
- Achieving monthly sales targets with quarterly growth set by the company (overall team target and new sales target).
- Constantly attracting new customers to the platform, at least 40 per month and increasing the number of new paying customers every month.
- Expanding the number of team agents in Kenya's largest cities, such as Mombasa and Nakuru (each market should have at least 15 effective agents, 100% achievement of the target in these regions).
Who We Are Looking For:
- Bachelor’s degree in any field.
- Proven experience managing commission field sales teams, preferably 50+ sales agents, with demonstrated ability to scale teams successfully.
- Strong leadership skills with ability to motivate, coach, and develop high-performing teams.
- Solid understanding of sales processes, pipeline management, and client relationship management.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to use data to drive decision-making.
- Familiarity with MS Office and Google Workspace.
- Exceptional communication, leadership, and adaptability skills.
