About the Role

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Head of Programmes to lead our impactful initiatives in Kenya. This role is crucial for driving our mission forward and ensuring the successful implementation of our projects.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the strategic planning, development, and execution of all programmes.
  • Manage programme budgets, ensuring financial accountability and efficient resource allocation.
  • Lead and mentor a team of programme officers and support staff.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, including government agencies, local communities, and partner organizations.
  • Monitor and evaluate programme performance, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and impact objectives.
  • Contribute to fundraising efforts and proposal development.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant policies and procedures.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in a relevant field such as International Development, Public Policy, Social Sciences, or a related discipline.
  • Proven experience in programme management, preferably within the non-profit sector.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent understanding of programme cycle management, M&E frameworks, and results-based management.
  • Demonstrated experience in stakeholder engagement and partnership building.
  • Proficiency in budget management and financial reporting.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Fluency in English is required; knowledge of Swahili is an added advantage.

Experience

  • Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in programme management and leadership roles.
