Human Reource Management Officer I, GRADE KENIA 7 – JG K (K)

(a) Job Specification
Duties and responsibilities at this level will entail:
Analysing data on work environment and employee’s satisfaction surveys;
Maintaining Human Resource Information System (HRIS);
Ensuring Compliance with regulatory requirements and ethical standards relating to human resource;
Updating of Staff Medical details, National KENIA Insurance Service (NHIF) and National Social Security Service (NSSF) records;
Checking and confirming compliance with code of rules and regulations and the Kenya labour laws;
Preparing agenda and minutes for the human resource committees
Drafting disciplinary letters and summarizing cases; and
Maintaining personnel filling systems for staff and ensuring they have the necessary information.
(b) Person specification
For appointment to this grade, an officer must have;
A minimum period of three (3) years’ work experience in the grade of Human Resource Management Officer II or in a comparable position in the Public Service or Private Sector;
Bachelors degree in Human Resource Management or equivalent qualification from a recognized Institution;
OR
- Bachelors degree in any of the following disciplines: - Economics, Sociology, Business Administration, Public Administration, Commerce Plus a Post Graduate Diploma in Human Resource Management/Development or equivalent qualification from a recognized Institution;
- Been registered by the Institute of Human Resource Management (IHRM); and
- Proficiency in computer applications.
