JOB PURPOSE:
This individual will coordinate and oversee employee-related activities while ensuring compliance with organizational policies, procedures, and employment regulations. They will collaborate closely with the HR team to support the implementation, alignment, and continuous improvement of HR processes and practices.
Responsibilities or duties:
- Manage employee relations and HR casework, including grievances, disciplinary matters, disputes, absenteeism, retirement, and redundancy, providing sound and timely guidance to managers and employees.
- Advise managers on employment terms, HR policies, best practices, and performance matters, while supporting the development and continuous review of HR policies and procedures.
- Support recruitment, onboarding, induction, and employee lifecycle administration, ensuring all employment requirements and personnel records are accurately maintained.
- Coordinate and support learning and development initiatives, including training attendance, planning, implementation, and monitoring.
- Support payroll administration, maintaining accurate payroll and employee records and communicating relevant changes to Finance.
- Support employee benefits administration, HR reporting, and preparation of recommendations and proposals for management.
- Contribute to change management and HR projects that align workforce practices with organisational strategy and improve employee performance.
- Ensure HR compliance and effective implementation of policies and procedures, identifying gaps and recommending improvements.
- Prepare and submit regular HR activity and workforce reports to support management decision-making.
Qualifications or requirements (e.g., education, skills):
- Master’s degree in Human Resource Management, Psychology, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Professional HR qualification from IHRM/CIPD or equivalent; an MBA in Human Resource Management is an added advantage or acceptable alternative.
- Strong knowledge of employment legislation and its practical application, with experience supporting HR functions through organisational change.
- Excellent organisational, communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong ability to work independently and collaboratively, with a proactive, self-motivated, and results-oriented approach.
- High level of confidentiality, discretion, diplomacy, and professional integrity.
- Proficiency in MS Office and SAP.
- Fluency in written and spoken English.
Experience needed:
- 8 years’ relevant HR experience, with 4 years of experience in leadership and people-management.
