Key Responsibilities

Strategic HR Leadership

  • Develop and implement the HR strategy, aligning with the Firm’s business goals and HR policies.
  • Collaborate with leadership to shape the firm’s workforce planning, talent development, and succession planning.

Policy & Compliance

  • Oversee the creation, review, and enforcement of HR policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with Kenyan labour laws and the Firm’s global guidelines.
  • Mitigate people-related risks by staying current with regulatory updates and leading internal audits where required.
  • Develop and maintain HR policies and procedures that minimize risk and support ethical business practices.

Talent Acquisition & Management

  • Supervise end-to-end recruitment processes, ensuring quality hires and an excellent candidate experience.
  • Lead initiatives in onboarding, performance management, career development, and retention, cultivating a high-performance culture.
  • Oversee compliance with the use of the Firm’s timekeeping and productivity tools.
  • Engage with the Professional Support team in the delivery of learning programmes.

Employee Relations & Engagement

  • Develop and manage employee engagement strategies, feedback mechanisms and conflict resolution processes.
  • Promote a positive and inclusive workplace culture.
  • Champion engagement programs, diversity and inclusion efforts, and well-being initiatives.

Compensation & Benefits Administration

  • Oversee the design and administration of competitive compensation and benefits packages, in partnership with the partners.
  • Ensure market benchmarking to attract and retain top talent.
  • Ensure internal equity, external competitiveness and alignment with the Firm’s financial objectives.

HR Team Leadership

  • Manage, mentor, and develop the HR Officer(s) fostering a collaborative, results-driven environment.
  • Establish team objectives, track key HR metrics, and drive continuous improvement in HR service delivery.

Organizational Development

  • Lead initiative to improve organizational effectiveness, change management and workforce planning.
  • Support continuous learning and development to meet the evolving business needs.

Requirements

  • Have a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Be a Certified Human Resource Professional (CHRP) or equivalent
  • Be a practising professional member with a relevant professional body;
  • Have a minimum of 7 years of progressive HR and talent experience, including at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial capacity, preferably within a professional services firm or a multinational environment;
  • Knowledge of Kenyan labour laws, HR best practices and strategic planning.
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal skills, communication, multitasking abilities and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in HR information systems (HRIS) and Microsoft Office suite.
  • A proactive approach with the ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive matters..
