Background

Our client, a Regulated Medium-Sized Deposit Taking Sacco based in Nairobi is urgently seeking to recruit a qualified, experienced, and highly motivated ICT Systems Officer to join their team.

Reports To

Chief Executive Officer (CEO)

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing and maintaining the SACCO’s ICT infrastructure, networks, servers, and applications.
  • Providing technical support to users and ensuring minimal system downtime.
  • Administering the Core Banking/SACCO Management System and related digital platforms.
  • Monitoring system performance and implementing improvements.
  • Managing ICT security, access controls, backups, and disaster recovery procedures.
  • Maintaining network equipment, firewalls, routers, switches, and internet connectivity.
  • Ensuring data integrity, confidentiality, and compliance with ICT policies.
  • Coordinating software upgrades, installations, and system integrations.
  • Maintaining ICT asset inventory and software licenses.
  • Supporting mobile banking, internet banking, ATM, and agency banking platforms.
  • Preparing ICT reports and recommendations for management.
  • Training staff on ICT systems and emerging technologies.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned by the Chief Executive Officer.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Professional ICT certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, CISA, CISM, CEH, CompTIA Security+, Microsoft, or related certifications will be an added advantage.
  • Minimum of three (3) years’ relevant work experience in ICT systems administration, networking, or ICT support, preferably within a SACCO, microfinance institution, or banking environment.
  • Experience in managing Core Banking/SACCO Management Systems.
  • Knowledge of network administration, cybersecurity, database management, and system administration.
  • Experience in disaster recovery planning and data backup management.
