Position Overview

Our client, a leading private healthcare facility in Nairobi, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced ICU Nurse to join its critical care team.

This role focuses on delivering high-quality, patient-centered care in a high-acuity ICU environment, ensuring adherence to clinical standards, patient safety protocols, and best practices in critical care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide specialized care to critically ill patients in the ICU
  • Monitor patient conditions and administer medications
  • Operate advanced life-support and monitoring equipment
  • Ensure adherence to evidence-based ICU protocols
  • Monitor patient safety, infection control, and clinical outcomes
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams
  • Maintain accurate patient records and handover documentation
  • Support quality improvement initiatives and continuous professional development

Qualifications & Requirements

  • BScN (Bachelor of Science in Nursing)
  • Postgraduate training in Critical Care / ICU / Anesthesia
  • Valid NCK license
  • 3–5 years ICU experience
  • Mandatory ACLS & BLS certifications

  • Strong expertise in critical care nursing
  • Excellent clinical judgment and decision-making
  • Knowledge of ICU protocols and infection prevention
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills
