The company has a total complement of over 900 highly trained and professional staff spread across the region and seeks to fill the position of Industrial Chemicals Support Specialist.

Job Summary:

The Industrial Chemicals Support Specialist will be responsible for providing on-site technical support and performance optimization for industrial utility systems including boilers, cooling towers, and chillers. This role involves field service, troubleshooting, customer training, and ensuring compliance with safety and environmental standards.

Responsibilities or duties

  • Conduct routine site visits to monitor and optimize chemical treatment programs for boilers, cooling towers, and chillers.
  • Perform water sampling, testing, and analysis to assess system health and recommend corrective actions.
  • Troubleshoot system issues such as scaling, corrosion, microbiological growth, and fouling.
  • Prepare detailed service reports, treatment recommendations, and performance summaries.
  • Train customer personnel on safe chemical handling, dosing procedures, and system
  • Ensure compliance with local environmental and safety regulations.
  • Collaborate with sales and engineering teams to support customer retention and growth.

Qualifications or requirements (e.g., education, skills)

  • Diploma or Degree in Chemical Engineering, Industrial Chemistry, Environmental Science, or related field.
  • Strong knowledge of water chemistry, corrosion control, and microbiological management.
  • Familiarity with chemical dosing systems and water testing equipment.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel frequently.

Key Skills and Competencies:

  • Ability to interpret technical data and generate actionable insights.
  • Safety-conscious with knowledge of chemical handling protocols.
  • Certification in water treatment or boiler operations.
  • Experience with automated control systems and remote monitoring.

Experience needed

  • 2+ years of experience in water treatment or industrial utilities (boilers, cooling towers, chillers).
