Position Overview:
The College Board invites applications for the position of Institute Principal/Manager. The Principal will provide strategic leadership, oversee academic and administrative functions, and ensure the institution’s mission and vision are achieved.
Key Roles & Responsibilities:
The TVET Manager/Principal shall provide strategic leadership and oversee the institution’s operations. Duties include but are not limited to:
- Implementing the institution’s mission and vision.
- Preparing and managing training budgets.
- Develop and implement academic and institutional policies.
- Promoting, advocating, and strengthening industry and TVET linkages.
- Facilitating training, coaching, and mentoring of staff.
- Managing training plans and schedules.
- Performing overall TVET institution administration.
- Managing internal quality assurance of competency-based assessments.
- Constituting and operationalizing institutional committees.
- Incorporating innovation and continuous improvement in institutional management.
- Represent the College in external engagements and partnerships.
- Safeguard the reputation of the College by upholding Christian values
- Ensuring equity, equality, and inclusivity in the workplace while stimulating active staff participation.
- Ensure financial accountability and effective resource management.
Minimum Qualifications & Experience:
- A Master’s degree in education, TVET Management, Business Administration, Educational Leadership, or a closely related field.
- A Bachelor’s degree in Education or a Business-related discipline.
- At least 5-10 years of progressive leadership experience in a TVET institution, college, or similar education organization.
- Good understanding of Competency-Based Education and Training (CBET), TVET policies and regulations, and labor market trends.
- Proven experience managing institutional accreditation, quality assurance, and compliance inspections.
- Strong leadership, excellent communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to Christian values and ethical leadership.
- Strong financial management and strategic planning skills.
