Background

Food For Education (FFE) is a non-profit organization that provides nutritious meals to children in public primary schools and early childhood development centers. Our mission is to improve the health, nutrition, and educational outcomes of vulnerable children in Kenya.

Responsibilities

Interns will be assigned to various departments based on their skills and interests, including but not limited to:

  • Program Support: Assisting in the implementation and monitoring of feeding programs.
  • Data Management: Collecting, organizing, and analyzing program data.
  • Communications: Supporting content creation and social media management.
  • Operations: Assisting with logistical and administrative tasks.
  • Research: Contributing to research initiatives related to nutrition and education.

Qualifications

We are looking for enthusiastic and motivated individuals who are passionate about our mission. Ideal candidates will possess:

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in a relevant field (e.g., Public Health, Nutrition, Education, Development Studies, Communications, Business Administration).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • A proactive attitude and willingness to learn.

Experience

Previous internship or volunteer experience in a non-profit setting is an advantage but not required.

Additional Notes

This is an unpaid internship opportunity. Interns will gain valuable hands-on experience in the non-profit sector and contribute to a meaningful cause.
