Overview

The Mathematics / Computer Teacher will be responsible for planning and delivering effective, engaging, and learner-centred Mathematics and Computer Studies lessons in line with the Competency-Based Education (CBE) curriculum. The role involves assessing and monitoring learner progress, maintaining effective classroom management, integrating technology into teaching, and supporting learners to develop strong analytical, problem-solving, and digital skills. The teacher will also collaborate with colleagues and participate in co-curricular and other school activities.

Job description

  • Plan and deliver engaging Mathematics and Computer lessons in line with the Competency-Based Education (CBE) framework.
  • Prepare lesson plans, schemes of work, teaching and learning resources, and assessments.
  • Assess learners and monitor their academic progress.
  • Maintain effective classroom management and discipline.
  • Integrate technology and practical learning approaches into lessons.
  • Maintain accurate learner records and provide timely feedback.
  • Participate in co-curricular activities and other school programmes.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues and school management.
  • Perform any other duties assigned by the School Management.

Requirements

  • Diploma or Degree in Education, specializing in Mathematics and Computer Studies/ICT or a relevant combination.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ teaching experience.
  • TSC registered is a must
  • Must have teaching experience under the Competency-Based Education (CBE) system.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively teach Mathematics and Computer Studies.
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in digital learning tools and technology.
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Professional, responsible, and committed to learners' academic development.
