JOB DETAILS:

• Fieldwork Coordination: Plan, risk-assess, and execute mandatory physical and human geography fieldwork (at least two locations per key stage), including equipment preparation (compasses, flow meters, soil kits).
• Map & Data Mastery: Progressively teach OS map-reading, 4/6-figure grid references, and GIS (Geographic Information Systems) software across all year groups.
• Case Study Management: Maintain a living bank of 10–15 current, contrasting global case studies (e.g., earthquakes, urbanization, deserts) that are updated yearly to match exam board specifications.
• Numeracy Integration: Take explicit responsibility for teaching statistical skills (mean, median, mode, correlation, graphs) specifically within a geographic context.
• Sustainability Lead: Manage the school's eco-committee or sustainability audits, linking classroom theory to tangible school-based environmental action.
