Job Specifications

This will be the entry and training grade for this cadre for Bachelor’s Degree holders. An officer at this level will work under guidance and supervision of a senior officer.

Duties and responsibilities at this level will entail assisting in: -

  • Carrying out cadastral, geodetic and mapping surveys;
  • Carrying out topographical surveys;
  • Undertaking preliminary quality control of cadastral, adjudication and general boundary surveys;
  • Undertaking computations and adjustments of triangulation and traversing methods;
  • Extension of control points for surveying and mapping;
  • Preparation of budgets for survey tasks;
  • Supervision of survey function in road construction projects;
  • Carrying out measurement and computations of quantities for road works; and
  • Preparation of Land acquisition drawings and schedules.

Job specifications

For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in any of the following disciplines: - Land Surveying, Geospatial Engineering; Geomatic Engineering; Geomatic Engineering and Geospatial Information Systems; Technology in Survey or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution; and
  • Proficiency in computer applications.

Successful candidates MUST satisfy the requirements of Leadership and Integrity set out in Chapter Six (6) of the Constitution of Kenya, 2010 and shall be required to present the following documents before the offer letter.

  • Tax Compliance Certificate from Kenya Revenue Authority (TCC);
  • Certificate of clearance from Higher Education Loans Board (HELB);
  • Certificate of good conduct from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI);
  • Dully filled and stamped Self-Declaration/Clearance from the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC); and
  • Clearance certificate from approved Credit Reference Bureau (CRB).
